Join our team We're building a world where Identity belongs to you.
About the RoleAt Auth0 by Okta, we're on a mission to build trusted identity experiences for developers, businesses, and end users. Our research team plays a key role in shaping products that are secure, scalable, and built on a deep understanding of user needs. We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher (Mixed Methods) to help us uncover insights that drive thoughtful, impactful product decisions.
In this role, you'll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to lead research studies from scoping to synthesis. You'll blend qualitative and quantitative methods to understand user behaviors, needs, and attitudes — and turn those into clear, actionable insights that inform both product development and strategic direction.
You'll report to the UX Research Manager and be part of a growing, collaborative research team committed to elevating how research influences product thinking at scale.
What You'll DoPlan and conduct end-to-end research using both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability studies, analytics triangulation)
Lead research initiatives that inform features, workflows, and overall product direction
Collaborate with designers, PMs, engineers, and data scientists to define research questions, choose appropriate methods, and embed insights into decision-making
Synthesize findings into clear, concise insights and recommendations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
Contribute to the team's research processes, templates, and best practices
Help evolve our understanding of key user personas, journeys, and pain points, especially in the context of developer experience and security products
Participate in continuous research efforts and help maintain research ops hygiene (e.g., tagging insights, sharing findings, managing research data)
Assist cross-functional team members in conducting self-service research, offering guidance on research execution and data analytics
3-5+ years of UX research experience in a product environment, ideally within SaaS, security, or developer-focused products
Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and experience choosing the right method for the question at hand
Experience working cross-functionally with PMs, designers, and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle
Strong synthesis and storytelling skills — you know how to bring clarity to complexity and communicate impact
Comfort working autonomously on multiple projects, with strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with tools like Dovetail, Confluence, Jira, Heap, and common survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, GreatQuestions)
A collaborative mindset and a desire to support team growth and learning
- Bonus: Experience conducting research with technical users or developer personas
