Row 188 is the flagship restaurant of O'Rourke Family Estate—Canada's most anticipated winery project. Overlooking Okanagan Lake and our 1,200-seat amphitheater, Row 188 offers a refined dining experience that showcases seasonal cuisine, estate-grown wines, and world-class hospitality. With a focus on precision, elegance, and genuine guest connection, Row 188 is the culinary jewel of our estate.

Position Overview

Servers at Row 188 are the heart of the guest experience. They deliver polished, attentive, and knowledgeable service that reflects the sophistication of the estate. Our servers are ambassadors of O'Rourke Family Estate wines, guiding guests through carefully paired menus and ensuring every detail of service enhances the overall dining journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, personalized service in line with fine-dining standards.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and guide guests through food and wine selections.
  • Deliver a seamless wine service experience, including decanting, proper glassware, and pairing suggestions.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, daily features, and estate wines.
  • Anticipate guest needs, resolve issues with professionalism, and ensure memorable dining experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with the FOH team, Sommeliers, and kitchen to ensure smooth service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Handle payments accurately and manage POS transactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
  • Strong wine knowledge; WSET or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Professional appearance and polished presentation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
