Responsibilities:

The Performance & Optimization Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing wireless network performance. This includes collecting and assessing network data, identifying abnormalities, diagnosing root causes, and recommending parameter changes, feature trials, software upgrades, and other optimization actions to ensure contractual KPI targets are met.

The specialist also prepares daily, weekly, and monthly network performance reports, performs short-term capacity and traffic trend analysis, and supports long-term network strategy planning. Automation techniques are leveraged to reduce analysis time and streamline recurring optimization activities.

Required Technical Skills

  1. Strong understanding of
    5G NSA & SA (both FDD and TDD)
    and
    LTE
    technologies

  2. Hands-on experience conducting
    5G NSA/SA optimization and feature trials
    focused on:

  3. Coverage optimization (e.g., SRS beamforming)

  4. Throughput improvement (DL/UL)
  5. Load balancing

  6. Layering and traffic steering across bands

  7. Hands-on experience with
    LTE optimization and trials
    , including:

  8. Data/VoLTE drop call improvements

  9. Load balancing

  10. Layering and traffic steering from low to high bands

  11. Ability to analyze internal system logs,
    eNB/gNB logs, EMIL/DCAP logs, TTI traces
    for troubleshooting lab and field issues

  12. Expertise in
    UE and eNB/gNB signaling log analysis
    (UU, X2, S1 interfaces)
  13. Proficiency with UE logging tools like
    QXDM, XCAL
    , or equivalent
  14. Experience using
    Actix
    for post-processing drive test logs
