Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is vital to the success of our food service operations, supporting both our American Plan fishing guests and restaurant patrons. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering consistent quality in a team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef in executing menu items for lodge guests and restaurant service, following recipes and presentation standards.
- Prepare meals from scratch, accommodating dietary requirements when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas according to established cleaning schedules.
- Communicate effectively to ensure kitchen inventories remain at required levels; coordinate with management for timely product ordering (critical in a semi-remote location).
- Collaborate with lodge owners, management, and staff to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
- Work respectfully as part of a team, fostering positive relationships with staff, vendors, and management.
- Comply with nutrition, food preparation standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation, practicing proper sanitation.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste.
- Support the Chef, servers, and bartenders during evening service.
Schedule
- Regular menu prep and dinner service: approximately 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., six days per week
- Breakfast coverage: two mornings per week
- Flexibility required to meet operational needs and ensure smooth service.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a line cook or prep cook.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict time constraints.
- High standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Health and safety training credentials are an asset.
- Familiarity with industry regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $3,840.00 per month
