Job Summary:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Piano Teachers to join our team for weekday evening lessons. As a Piano Teacher, you will provide high-quality piano instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students' goals and abilities.
  • Teach proper piano technique, music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
  • Select appropriate repertoire for students to practice and perform.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills.
  • Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and other performance opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Music degree or be a current university student in a music program.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Piano Teacher. RCM Teacher Certificate is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with children and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music.
  • Must be able to teach in English; fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.

Skills:

  • Classroom teaching experience.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Ability to inspire and educate students of all ages and skill levels.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
