**Billing Specialist – Full Time (Hybrid)**

**Pay Rate:** $18–$20/hour

**Summary of Position**

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for accurate and timely billing, manual and online invoice processing, managing customer inquiries, and researching/resolving billing issues as they arise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Accurately rate and bill customers according to contract requirements and customer specifications

* Communicate with on-site operations teams to obtain necessary information before customer deadlines

* Identify, correct, and prevent errors in billing

* Maintain and update dedicated billing account instructions including charges, accessorials, and any special billing requirements

* Provide billing queue status updates to management as needed

**Requirements**

* Minimum 2 years of billing experience (transportation industry experience is an asset)

* Diploma in Accounting or Commerce

* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

* Energetic, hardworking, and accountable with a strong "can-do" attitude

* Strong sense of urgency and exceptional follow-up skills

* Excellent time-management abilities

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Experience with CargoWise system is an asset
