THE OPPORTUNITY

As an
A
ssociate, Compliance & Operations, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of Bridgeport's operational and regulatory framework. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Manager, Finance & Operations, you will help ensure the firm's activities meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and fiduciary integrity.

This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, professional setting and takes pride in precision and accountability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support all aspects of Bridgeport's compliance program, including portfolio management oversight, investment fund management, client onboarding and administration, marketing review, business conduct, and recordkeeping.

  • Monitor adherence to provincial securities regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) obligations under applicable legislation and guidance.

  • Provide operational and financial support across key business areas including trade settlement, client reporting and accounting, funding flows, technology systems, and marketing operations.

  • Assist with regulatory filings, internal audits, and documentation required under OSC, FINTRAC, and related frameworks.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls, processes, and workflow automation.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure operational consistency and compliance readiness as the firm grows.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree, ideally in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • Professional designation such as CFA, CIM, CPA, or progress toward one is an asset.
  • Experience in investment management, private wealth, or fund administration preferred.
  • Working knowledge of securities compliance, operations, or financial reporting processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to portfolio management or CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to take ownership in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
