Account Executive - Enterprise Verticals
Saskatoon, SK
At Vendasta, we're leading the AI revolution from right here in Saskatoon—and beyond. We work together to empower our partners and customers through our AI-powered customer acquisition and engagement platform to help them get more customers—and keep them.
We're looking for an Account Executive I who is energized by the thrill of outbound enterprise sales and excited to drive revenue growth by acquiring new channel partners in targeted industry verticals. In this role, you'll play a key part in helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed—while shaping the future of AI for local economies.
About the Job
As an Account Executive I on the Outbound Verticals Acquisition team, your mission is to drive revenue growth by acquiring new channel partners through outbound prospecting. You'll be responsible for identifying high-potential prospects, conducting discovery calls, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and closing deals to onboard new partners.
This is a high-impact role where you will play a crucial part in expanding Vendasta's reach within key industry verticals, including ICT, ISV and Media. You'll collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Marketing, and Sales Enablement to optimize outbound strategies and maximize deal conversions. Your ability to tailor solutions, overcome objections, and guide partners through the onboarding process will be key to your success.
Your Impact
As an Account Executive I, you'll work closely with the Outbound Verticals Acquisition team, SDRs, and Marketing to:
- Identify and engage high-potential prospects using outbound sales strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
- Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations, positioning Vendasta's platform as the ideal solution for channel partners.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring a seamless transition from acquisition to onboarding.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline by nurturing leads, following up consistently, and progressing opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Utilize sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger Sale, MEDDPICC) to drive predictable revenue and improve sales efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with SDRs and Marketing to refine outbound messaging and improve lead quality.
- Partner with Onboarding and Customer Success teams to ensure new partners are successfully integrated and set up for long-term success.
What You Bring to the Table
You have 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, ideally within a SaaS, technology, or B2B environment. You thrive in an enterprise sales environment, with a proven ability to prospect, engage, and close new business through outbound efforts. Your strong consultative selling skills allow you to uncover client needs and position solutions effectively, while your exceptional negotiation and objection-handling abilities help you close deals with confidence.
You are well-versed in sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Challenger Sale, and you leverage these frameworks to guide partners through the buying journey. You're comfortable using CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot, Google Suite, and sales engagement platforms to track and optimize your pipeline. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—come naturally to you, enabling you to build relationships with key decision-makers and tailor messaging to industry-specific needs.
In addition to your must-have skills, experience with SaaS or digital solutions, account-based marketing (ABM), or outbound prospecting in niche industries would be an asset. Certifications in Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator are also a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
