Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain detailed technical documentation including user manuals, process guides, system specifications, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, product managers, and designers to gather accurate information and ensure clarity in all documentation.
  • Use Visio or similar diagramming tools to create visual representations of workflows, system architectures, and process diagrams that enhance understanding.
  • Edit and proofread all content meticulously to ensure grammatical correctness, consistency in style, and technical accuracy.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on product features, industry standards, and best practices in technical communication.
  • Manage document version control and organize files systematically for easy access and updates using word processing software.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with company branding guidelines and quality standards while meeting project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical writing or a related field with a strong portfolio of technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using Visio for creating diagrams and visual aids that complement written content.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills to produce polished, error-free documents.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information from multiple sources efficiently.
  • Skilled in word processing tools such as Microsoft Word or similar platforms for document creation and management.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all materials. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with industry standards for technical documentation, experience working in cross-functional teams, and knowledge of additional diagramming or graphic design tools.
