Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Audit Senior/Financial Auditor
with 3–4 years of audit experience, preferably including time with a Big Four firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Canadian accounting and auditing standards and will be comfortable taking ownership of engagements while contributing to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
  • Ensure compliance with ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian Auditing Standards
  • Review and finalize working papers, financial statements, and audit deliverables
  • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve issues and provide value-added insights
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff throughout engagement cycles
  • Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Identify engagement risks and propose practical solutions
  • Use CaseWare and QuickBooks for file preparation and financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • CA, CPA, or equivalent accounting designation (or in final stages of completion)
  • 3–4 years of progressive audit experience, with Big Four experience preferred
  • Solid technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian Auditing Standards
  • Proficient in CaseWare, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently or as part of a team
