Accounting Assistant | Full-Time, Permanent

Rise Partners is a business consulting firm that supports international companies expanding into Canada.

From incorporation and tax/accounting to public sector collaboration, office IT setup, and business operations, we accompany our clients through every step of their growth to ensure a stable and successful presence in the North American market.

We are now looking for a new team member who values precision and responsibility to join our accounting team —

someone who can read the story behind numbers and build trust through data.

What you'll do

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting systems
  • Manage and reconcile accounts such as A/R, A/P, payroll, and utilities
  • Record journal entries, prepare trial balances, and manage the general ledger
  • Support monthly and year-end closing reports and management summaries
  • Assist with GST/HST returns, T2 corporate tax filings, and T4 payroll slips
  • Process payments to vendors and government remittances (CPP, EI, WSIB, etc.)
  • Communicate with clients and government agencies through documentation and reports
  • Support audit preparation and financial statement compilation

Who we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles
  • Strong QuickBooks proficiency
  • Highly detail-oriented and responsible, with a commitment to accuracy and completion
  • Bilingual communication skills in Korean and English
