Account Management/Key Accounts work focuses on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients including: Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers. Identifying and managing interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities. Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service. Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts. Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends Incumbents in this specialization may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Individuals in these roles have a functional knowledge focus and are primarily responsible for achieving results through their own work and through teams that they may be part of.
  • Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training.

  • Specialized depth and breadth of expertise in own discipline or field.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and innovative solutions.

  • Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the organization's future.
  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
  • Works under minimal direction.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment; influences others.
  • Serves as consultant to leadership and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or equivalent+ 10 years related experience, or MA+ 8 years related experience.
  • The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Graphic Packaging retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
