Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker (NOC to provide care and supervision for children in a private household. The ideal candidate will assist with daily routines, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and support the family with light household tasks related to the children's well-being.

Duties

  • Supervise and care for children in the employer's residence
  • Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, eating, and personal hygiene
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize age-appropriate activities to support physical, emotional, and social development
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support positive behavior
  • Light housekeeping related to the children (e.g., cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, children's laundry)
  • Follow family-established schedules and routines
  • Accompany children to and from school or activities when required
  • Ensure safety at all times and respond to emergencies as needed

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Experience in childcare or home support is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Must be comfortable caring for children ages (8, 6, and 2)

Additional Information

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • On-site parking available
  • Vacation pay and statutory deductions (EI/CPP/income tax) provided as required by law
  • Optional free accommodation may be available at no charge; this is not a condition of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
