As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a Sales Representative to join our team at the Vancouver Christmas Market.

Job Description:

As a Sales Representative at the Vancouver Christmas Market, you will be the face of West Coast Wild Foods, sharing our unique and gourmet selection of wild foods with the festive market-goers. You will have the opportunity to engage with customers, answer their questions, and educate them about the delicious wild mushrooms, wild greens and wild berries we forage in the forests of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor.
  • Showcase and promote our selection of local wild foods to create interest and drive sales.
  • Provide information about the different wild mushroom varieties and other products on offer.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing booth, ensuring all products are well-presented.
  • Accurately process transactions and handle cash and card payments.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking as needed.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of the booth before and after the market (setup Nov 12th, teardown Dec 26th)
  • Collect customer feedback and convey it to the team for continuous improvement.
  • Be knowledgeable about Vancouver Christmas Market activities and attractions to help direct visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for food, foraging, and sustainability.
  • Previous experience in a sales role.
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor market environment during various weather conditions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
