Typical of most accounting firms, we have a busier season in the first half of the year and less workload in the latter half of the year. Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior level staff accountant to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation of income tax returns (corporate, personal, and trust)
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements with varying levels of assurance (audit, review, and compilation engagements)
  • Administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/MBA/MAcc in accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and exposure to various accounting software
  • Previous taxation or public accounting experience is considered an asset
  • Actively pursuing Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or have already obtained the CPA designation

Pay range and compensation package

  • Annual salary commensurate with experience
  • Annual discretionary bonus based on contributions during busy season
  • Lieu time accumulation resulting in Friday office closures in July and August
