, a leader in air filtration and acoustic solutions for gas turbines, with our Americas headquarters right here in Laval In this dynamic role, you'll take on key responsibilities that drive our mission forward, including:

  • Review design requirements to clearly define the scope.
  • Using SolidWorks, develop and optimize the 3D models and drawing package that meets project constraints and requirements keeping in mind quality, cost and project timeline.
  • Ensure design meet specification, recognized industry standards and legislation;
  • Optimize design for manufacturing and cost;
  • Find solutions to problems and implement into design and drawings;
  • Participate in design review;
  • Support project engineer, the project and sales team, collaborate with other Camfil's branches depending on the project team setup;
  • Prepare and optimize sales drawing and 3D models according to customer requirements based on concepts or mark-ups provided by sales engineer;
  • Prepare and work with bills of material (BOMs).
  • Create standard / catalog parts for database.

Are you THE person we are looking for?

  • Approximately 3+ years of experience and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks;
  • Good understanding of fabrication processes;
  • Familiar with welding processes and welding symbols on drawings;
  • Experience on industrial sheet metal produce design.
  • Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and practices;
  • Relevant design and drafting experience;
  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering;
  • Bilingual spoken and written.
