Job Title: Direct Message (DM) Setter - Online Weight Loss Coaching
Location: Remote
Type: Part-Time Contractor (with potential to grow)
Reports To: Daniel Rosenthal, Online Weight Loss Coach
About the Role:
We help busy working moms over 40 lose weight sustainably - without extreme diets or workouts that take over their lives. As our DM Setter, you'll be the first point of contact for women who reach out through Instagram. Your job is to build real, empathetic connections and guide the right people to book a call with our team.
You don't need sales experience. You do need to be great at listening, asking the right questions, and genuinely caring about people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start and maintain engaging, genuine conversations in Instagram DMs
- Follow conversation frameworks that identify pain points, goals, and readiness to change
- Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to qualify leads without being pushy
- Book qualified leads into our calendar system for coaching consults
- Track daily DM activity and follow up consistently with interested leads
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve messaging and conversion rates
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong written communication skills with a warm, supportive tone
- Fluency in English
- Confident using Instagram for outreach (DMs, polls, story replies, etc.)
- Empathetic and able to connect with women navigating weight, motherhood, and a demanding career
- Organized, consistent, and able to follow up without dropping leads
- Comfortable with feedback and willing to test new approaches
- Bonus: Experience with coaching, fitness, nutrition, or similar client-facing roles
- Bonus: Familiarity with ManyChat and Trello
Availability:
- 2–4 hours per day, ideally split into AM + PM blocks
- Must be able to check in and respond to leads within 1–2 hours during active windows
Compensation:
- Monthly base pay plus commission for every successful coaching sale that results from your conversations
- Weekly earnings range from $100 to $900 (Canadian Dollars), depending on performance
- High performers can consistently earn $900+ per week as they grow into the role long-term
Note: This is an independent contractor role. You will be self-employed and responsible for your own taxes, tools, and benefits. You will also be responsible for invoicing monthly for your work.
