Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food safety standards, and ensuring high-quality food service that delights our guests. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork
  • Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Oversee food presentation, ensuring visually appealing dishes that meet customer expectations
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste
  • Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation practices throughout the kitchen
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus, specials, and new culinary concepts
  • Provide training and mentorship to kitchen staff to promote skill development and adherence to standards
  • Serve as a leader during busy service hours, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or as a head chef with supervising responsibilities
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in serving customers and coordinating with staff
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is essential
  • A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
