Compensation Manager 1 level ($76,500 - $90,000) or Manager 2 level ($95,000 - $110,000) + Bonuses

Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join our Ottawa office. This opportunity is ideal for a professional looking to expand their leadership capabilities while managing a diverse portfolio of international private and public clients. You'll collaborate closely with senior managers and partners, lead a team of accountants, and contribute to high-impact audit, tax, and advisory engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle audit engagements from planning through financial statement sign-off.
• Manage accounting, audit, and tax service needs across a varied client base.
• Provide guidance on journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax filings.
• Meet with clients to discuss financial statements, engagement issues, and business insights.
• Assign engagement budgets and monitor timelines in coordination with partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
• Mentor and manage a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• University degree with a specialization in Accounting.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent designation (completed or near completion).
• Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and assurance principles.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and support client reporting requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with audit, accounting, and tax software (e.g., CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks).
