Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide essential support to senior woman in need of assistance with all aspects of daily living activities. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our loved one, ensuring their comfort and well-being in our home. Your commitment to compassionate patient care will make a significant difference in their life and ours.

Duties

  • Carry out personal care tasks for client including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
  • Help with meal preparation and support feeding.
  • Administer medication and assist with basic health monitoring.
  • Support client with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties to include sweeping, sanitizing, light mopping, laundry.
  • Document client progress and report any changes to designated family members.
  • Engage client in social activities and encourage participation in interests.
  • Provide specialized dementia care.

Skills

  • Experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred, particularly in home care settings.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with family members, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist client with physical mobility challenges.
  • Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living environments is beneficial.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Basic understanding of patient care protocols and safety procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.50 per hour
