  • Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Line Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles in the Evening to Calgary from Red Deer and Return in a safely and Efficient manor

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate 5 Ton trucks from red Deer to Calgary and Return , adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform basic troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues during transit

Skills

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transportation
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting to maintain vehicle performance
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery schedules
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections as required
