Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components and assemblies meet the required specifications and standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing processes and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components and assemblies using various measuring instruments, including calipers.
  • Perform quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Collect and analyze data related to product quality, ensuring accurate documentation of inspection results.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in quality control techniques, including quality inspection methodologies.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively for decision-making purposes.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers for accurate assessments.(micrometers & new co-ordinant measuring machine-training provided)
  • Prior experience in a machine shop
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
