Vish is hiring an HR Manager

Please note: This is an in-office position based in our St. John's, Newfoundland office.
Who We Are
Vish is transforming the professional hair color industry. Locally, Vish helps salons eliminate waste, manage inventory, increase revenue, and gain deep insights into their color business. Globally, Vish is building the infrastructure to revolutionize supply chain management across the entire hair color industry.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Vish's growth by attracting top talent worldwide and building the HR systems, policies, and programs that support a high-performing, people-first culture.
Core Responsibilities
Attracting and Hiring Talent
- Lead full-cycle global recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring across multiple time zones and teams.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and build scalable talent pipelines.
- Select, implement, and optimize recruitment and HR technologies (for example, ATS, onboarding tools).
- Own and refine the onboarding experience to ensure new hires transition smoothly and quickly integrate into the team.
- Champion our collaborative, inclusive culture throughout all hiring and onboarding activities.
HR Policy, Systems and Procedures
- Build, implement, and continuously improve global HR policies, processes, and employee handbooks.
- Lead system selection and implementation for key HR programs, such as performance management, engagement, and learning tools.
- Manage performance management cycles, supporting managers with tools, coaching, and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain global compliance practices, ensuring alignment with employment regulations across our operating regions.
- Support professional development initiatives and employee engagement programs.
- Manage benefits and Employee Assistance Program administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR data systems.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations on people and organizational matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
Applicant Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced tech or global environment.
- Proven success attracting and hiring top-tier talent.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, CHRP) are an asset.
