Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and construction, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position requires expertise in various plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for ensuring all plumbing work is completed to code and meets safety standards.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform plumbing tasks effectively.
  • Conduct pipe threading and assembly for various plumbing applications.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide field service support for plumbing emergencies or routine maintenance requests.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or remodels as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the plumbing trade.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience with pipe threading techniques is preferred.
  • A valid commercial driving license may be required for certain positions.
  • Previous maintenance person experience or general maintenance skills are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role.
