Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Spanish Speaking Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and possess the necessary skills to provide essential support to the individual in need.
Responsibilities:
- Assists client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provides companionship and emotional support to client
- Helps with meal preparation and medication administration
- Performs light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Supports client with mobility issues and assist with heavy lifting when necessary
Skills:
- Prior experience in caregiving or nursing home settings is preferred
- Ability to administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Proficiency in providing dementia care and managing related behaviors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
- Capability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the role
- Knowledge of home care procedures and best practices for patient support
- ABILITY TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND FRENCH IS REQUIRED
