Duties

  • Greet members and guests warmly, fostering a friendly and motivating atmosphere that encourages ongoing engagement.
  • Promote and sell fitness memberships, personal training sessions, and wellness programs by understanding individual needs and demonstrating value.
  • Conduct motivational interviewing to identify clients' goals related to weight loss, nutrition, behavioral health, or overall wellness.
  • Develop personalized care plans that incorporate nutrition advice, fitness routines, yoga practices, or behavioral health strategies tailored to each member's objectives.
  • Provide health coaching sessions focused on behavior change techniques to support sustainable lifestyle improvements.
  • Educate members about the benefits of proper nutrition, gym equipment usage, and healthy habits through engaging teaching methods.
  • Assist in organizing wellness workshops or classes such as yoga or fitness training to enhance member experience.
  • Track progress and adjust care plans as needed, ensuring continuous motivation and support for clients' health journeys.
  • Maintain detailed records of member interactions, progress notes, and follow-up actions in compliance with privacy standards.
  • Stay informed about current trends in nutrition, weight management, behavioral health, and fitness to provide accurate guidance.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse individuals through motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Knowledge of creating effective care plans that integrate nutrition advice with fitness routines and behavioral health strategies.
  • Experience in health coaching or personal training with a focus on weight loss or lifestyle change programs.
  • Familiarity with gym equipment, yoga practices, and general fitness principles to educate members effectively.
  • Excellent teaching skills that can translate complex health concepts into accessible information for clients of all levels.
  • Understanding of behavioral health principles to support clients in overcoming obstacles and maintaining motivation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and transparently about program options while setting realistic expectations.
