CAD/BIM Technologist – Lead

Candidate Profile
As a CAD/BIM Technologist Lead your Architectural and/or Structural drafting knowledge is sound and bring strong leadership skills to our Building Science and Restoration team. You know how a building goes together, and what a great set of drawings should communicate. You are a fast learner with strong communication skills; you enjoy taking on more responsibility and have a desire to grow personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop drawings of existing or new buildings from general conceptual information and design notes
• Co-ordinate RJC's drawings with those of other disciplines on projects
• Provide project drafting and be accountable for schedule and efficiency
• Be accountable to Engineers and Technologists for drawing production and quality
• Help the design be more easily communicated through your drawings
• Work as part of a team, to produce drawings on a variety of projects
• Produce drawings and detail packages for both Building Science and Structural Restoration projects
• Manage and provide leadership to technologist team in Building Science and Restoration

Professional Qualifications
EDUCATION

• Diploma in Civil/Structural drafting or technology from accredited University or technical college
• Courses in structural design, concrete, and steel considered an asset
• Must have taken courses that focus on Revit software or related programs

Experience

• 5+ years of related experience
• Leadership and managing a team
• Working experience or education background with AutoCAD and REVIT
• Experience in construction and/or consulting services considered as a significant asset
