Parker Huggett is a longstanding and proud partner to a growing geotechnical, materials and environmental engineering firm and looking to help them find their next great leader
With roots in Newfoundland, this organization has been growing rapidly since their inception by focusing on attracting the best people and servicing various sectors within the construction and mining worlds. Largely involved in pre-construction, this group offers unparalleled expertise to the entire geotechnical and environmental spectrum; from planning and investigation, to execution and quality control. Their team has shared in the wins as they have expanded across Ontario over recent years and their ambitions certainly don't end there.
With a view to continue building their team and expanding their portfolio, they are ready to join forces with a talented Business Unit leader in Toronto to lead that continued and currently untapped growth potential. The opportunities and capabilities of this team are far beyond their current capacity in the GTA, which presents an exciting opportunity for all involved. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mentoring of Junior Staff
- Supervision of Field & Laboratory Testing and Inspection
- Business Development
- Proposal Preparation
- Budget creation and monitoring
- Client care and communication
About You
We're looking for business leaders more than engineering specialists and that means an emphasis on leadership capabilities more than certifications; If you're currently working with a Consultancy, GC, or Developer, but understand the Geotechnical, Material, and Environmental world and would want to learn where this opportunity could take you in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will have the following:

- Knowledge of the geotechnical, materials and/or environmental engineering industry
