This dynamic summer 2026 internship is designed for students passionate about exploring how AI can fundamentally improve productivity, enhance data understanding, and accelerate decision-making across commercial and engineering functions within a global manufacturing leader. You will work alongside experienced AI mentors to experiment with frontier tools, rapidly build prototypes, and learn the process of transforming innovative concepts into robust, working solutions.
What You'll Contribute
You will be a key contributor to our rapid AI development lifecycle by engaging in the following core activities:
- AI Capability Exploration: Research, test, and validate the potential of Generative AI capabilities, focusing on advanced techniques like intelligent summarization, robust pattern recognition, and natural language query processing.
- Prototype Development: Design and engineering AI-assisted tools that enhance key enterprise functions, such as sophisticated document understanding, real-time data insights, and advanced knowledge retrieval systems.
- Enterprise Integration: Gain hands-on experience integrating AI solutions into existing business processes using technologies like Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and Open-Source AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph).
- Model Evaluation & Analysis: Support engineers and business experts by conducting critical data analysis and rigorous model evaluation to ensure performance and reliability.
- Innovation & Strategy: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to identify novel, high-impact AI use cases that can directly benefit Fluke's customers and internal operations.
- Knowledge Transfer: Systematically document your findings, methodologies, and learning journey to share expertise across the broader technology team.
What You'll Learn

- Responsible AI Deployment: Learn the critical principles and practices for applying GenAI ethically and effectively within a regulated enterprise environment.
- LLM & Enterprise Data Fluency: Gain practical knowledge of working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrating them with complex, proprietary enterprise data sources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn and adapt the art of bridging technical capabilities with core business requirements to deliver practical and valuable AI solutions.
- Industry-Standard Tooling: Achieve hands-on proficiency with the modern AI and data tools currently used by industry-leading development teams.
Qualifications
We are looking for self-starting, collaborative individuals eager to make an impact:
- Academic: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative field. Graduating December 2026 or later.
- Mindset: Intensely curious about leveraging technology to drive smarter, more efficient workflows and processes.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with foundational programming concepts like Python or experience with the Microsoft Power Platform is beneficial but not strictly required.
- Communication & Collaboration: An exceptional communicator who thrives in a team environment and is enthusiastic about continuous learning, experimentation, and sharing innovative ideas.
- Location: Strong preference for a candidate located in the greater Vancouver, BC area.
