Position Overview

We're seeking a Salon Coordinator with experience in the pet industry — whether as a groomer, vet assistant, kennel tech, or similar — who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing role. This role is considered part of the heartbeat of our salon, ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting our grooming team, and delivering exceptional service to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets warmly, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.

• Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and client communications.

• Coordinate daily salon flow between groomers and customers.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates in booking systems.

• Monitor inventory and supplies for ordering.

• Handle payments, invoicing, and basic administrative tasks.

• Support groomers with pet handling when needed. Someone experienced in bathing or a willingness to learn proper prep will be an asset.

• Help uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the salon.

* Monitoring social media and email.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in the pet industry (grooming, vet assistant, daycare, etc.).

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.

• Tech-savvy and familiar with scheduling, use of Microsoft office apps. And Canva. Typing skills will be needed.

• Calm under pressure and able to multitask effectively.

• A team player who contributes positively to salon culture.

• Reliable, honest, and committed to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pet-related role.

• Previous experience in a front desk or coordinator role preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
