As a PHP Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on both front-end and server-side for web-based applications. The role is remote, but if you're sick of working from home, we offer a hybrid model as well :)

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, a typical day might include some of the following:

  • Working with a team of developers, designers, business analysts and project managers
  • Programming web-based applications
  • Creating website layouts and user interfaces with HTMP and CSS by working with designers
  • Developing back-end components and connecting applications to other web services
  • Reading & commenting on application requirements and specifications
  • Working with stakeholders and clients to gather and refine specs based on technical needs
  • Developing back-end portals with optimized databases 
  • Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of new features
  • Troubleshooting code and application issues
  • Updating and altering application features to enhance performance
  • Staying on top of emerging technologies and industry best practices and apply them to projects
  • Working with the team on estimates
  • Managing stakeholder expectations (both team and client)
  • Writing technical documentation
  • Testing software

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of PHP development experience 
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript and HTML
  • Experience in SQL databases and query optimization (MySQL or similar)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with results-oriented skills and thinking 
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and complex troubleshooting methods 
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is an asset

  • Android development experience (Kotlin)
  • Experience with Scrum, Agile or similar
