THE POSITION: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk with a strong background in payables to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions (uploading invoices and coding)
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and statements
  • Prepare various adjusting entries to the general ledger
  • Monthly reconciliations
  • Miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed
  • Support Senior Accounting Clerk as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role (1 – 5 Years)
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting is a plus
  • Post-secondary accounting degree would be considered an asset.
  • Previous dealership experience is an asset but not a requirement.
