Procurement & Logistics Specialist – Product Development

We're looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join our Product Development team. This role plays a critical part in keeping our supply chain moving—coordinating international vendors, managing imports/exports, overseeing manufacturing workflows, and ensuring our products land on time, every time.

If you're someone who thrives at the intersection of logistics, purchasing, and operations—and you enjoy working with a team that's building innovative products—this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Procurement

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with international vendors and manufacturing partners
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery
  • Support cost analysis, budgeting, and supplier performance tracking
  • Work closely with product development to ensure materials and components meet specification

Logistics & Supply Chain

  • Coordinate shipments, freight, import/export activities, and customs documentation
  • Work with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth cross-border movement
  • Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Optimize freight costs and lead times

Inventory & Operations

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in Microsoft Business Central
  • Ensure proper SKU setup, stock adjustments, and replenishment cycles
  • Support production planning with manufacturing partners
  • Apply LEAN principles to streamline workflows and eliminate waste

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Sales on inventory availability, product timelines, and customer needs
  • Work alongside Product Development (with Erik) to support new product launches
  • Provide reporting and data analysis to support operational decision-making

What You Bring

  • 5-10+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of international imports/exports, customs processes, and working with global vendors
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred)
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage vendors, and support contract and pricing strategies
  • Solid grasp of inventory management, supply chain processes, and procurement's role in production efficiency
  • Ability to analyze costs, supplier performance, and market conditions to support decision-making
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments (Product Development, Sales, Operations)
  • LEAN training/certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is preferred
  • Sales or customer-facing experience is preferred

What We Offer

  • Performance-based bonus plan
  • Opportunity to work closely with a skilled product development team bringing new ideas to life
  • A fast-moving environment where your work has immediate, visible impact
  • A supportive culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Candidate must commute to our new office location in Fort Saskatchewan in July 2026.

How to Apply

If this sounds like you, send your resume and a brief note about why you're a great fit for this role. Please include links or examples of relevant work with international procurement, logistics, or manufacturing (if available).
