Remote Transactional Contract Attorney

Montreal, Quebec, Canada The Arter Law Group, LLC Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

U.S. based law firm looking to find a great contract attorney to assist with ongoing, high volume, quick turn transactional legal work. While the position is contract based, we anticipate the volume to be nearly full time. Position is fully remote, but must be flexible to handle occasional work evenings and weekends- although that is quite rare.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial non-disclosure agreements (real estate / private equity) in accordance with pre-set guidelines.
  • Quick turn (immediate - 24 hours max) ability essential, with occasionally processing agreements during the evenings and weekends (although this is not typical).
  • Strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Versed with maintaining contract changes, redlines, responding to emails, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years law firm experience, preferably in corporate transactional work.
  • Law degree and member of any Canadian or U.S. bar.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with senior executives.
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • English required.

Strong communication skills, especially client-facing. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Pay:

Compensation is paid on a per agreement basis.
