Inside Sales Representative

The ideal candidate engages directly with customers to prepare product quotations and orders, handles general inquiries from customers regarding products, delivery, service, billing, credits, debits and complaints. Manages all open orders, updating the ERP system while at the same time keeping the customers current of their order status. Maintain an open line of communications with field sales team and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the entire order cycle process – from initial product selection, quotation process, order entry, order maintenance, order expediting and insurance of on-time delivery
  • Maintains and tracks detailed information on all open orders and customer delivery requirements. Proactively communicates with Engineering and Manufacturing as required through the entire order cycle process to ensure promised deliveries are met
  • Confers with Manufacturing, Field Sales, Shipping, Warehouse, and shipping carriers to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments
  • Informs customers of any anticipated delivery delays with adequate advance notice and works to minimize the effects of delivery delays
  • Handles general customer questions and concerns regarding billing, warranty concessions, commercial concessions, credits, and debits

Qualifications

  • Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and manage business expectations, with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adapts to changes in work environment and competing demands
  • Maintains confidentiality and resolves conflict effectively
  • 2 years experience in Inside sales role (or Similar)
  • Excellent computer skills required, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel, and internet savvy.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins, interest, percentages, and volume.
