Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide childcare for our 2 children. This is a live-in position in New Hazelton BC.

Duties

  • Providing attentive, age appropriate screen-free care for tw0 children aged 2-4
  • Plan and supervise daily activities including playtime, clean up, crafts, outdoor activities and early learning
  • Follow consistent routines for meals, naps and bedtimes
  • Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times
  • Changing diapers and assisting with toilet training
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Prepare healthy/balanced children's lunches and occasional meal prep

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in childcare
  • Completion of high-school
  • Responsible Adult Course
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Food Safe
  • Allergy Safe and allergen awarenss
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols
  • Non-Smoking

This position is live-in with large furnished bedroom with amenities such as mini-fridge, microwave and tv. Shared main kitchen and bathroom.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
