(NASL) provides airport management, operations, facility maintenance, and technical services for the Iqaluit International Airport.This work is part of a 30-year Public-Private Partnership (P3) with the Government of Nunavut, under which Arctic Infrastructure Partners was contracted to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the airport's expansion and redevelopment.While P3 projects are common internationally, this is Canada's first and only completed airport P3. It's also the first airport operation in the country to earn ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation.Job Title: Airport Building MaintainerReports to: Facilities Maintenance ManagerType: Permanent, Full TimeClosing Date: October 30, 2025The Opportunity Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Airport Building Maintainer plays a key role in the upkeep and inspection of all airport buildings, including tenant spaces in the Air Terminal Building (ATB) and the Combined Services Building (CSB).You will act as the go-to expert for everything related to the physical buildings—inside and out. You'll lead ongoing inspections, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinate building projects and contractors when needed.Responsibilities Include:Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on the ATB and CSB following a set schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)Use the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System to complete and track work ordersMaintain accurate records of tools, supplies, and inventoryMonitor and document the condition of boilers, pumps, generators, conveyors, chain drives, and other mechanical systemsCarry out minor repairs and coordinate contractors for specialized tasksInspect, maintain, and repair building elements including weather stripping, drywall, paint, flooring, ceilings, window coverings, and drainage systemsInspect and repair architectural and HVAC systemsSupport site drainage and seasonal work such as snow removal, with a focus on public walkways and airside access gatesAssist with waste management and litter controlInspect and maintain environmental containment areas such as fuel tanks and drainage zonesOversee and support the work of external contractors on siteUnderstand and support the airport's Safety Management System (SMS) and Energy PlanPerform other related duties as assignedSelection Criteria include:High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalentJourneyperson certification in a recognized trade (or equivalent experience)Ability to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Security ClearancePhysically capable of lifting 40 lbs regularly and working independentlyValid Class 5 driver's license, with the ability to obtain and maintain a D/A AVOP (Airport Vehicle Operator Permit)Working Conditions:This full-time position will be stationed in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
