How will you make an impact in this role?

The Installment Lending team is focused on driving the best borrowing experiences and solutions for our Cardmembers through personal loans and installment plans (Plan It) —while delivering sustainable top- and bottom-line growth for the Canadian business.

As Senior Analyst Marketing - Lending, you will champion and drive the continued growth trajectory of Plan It, the American Express Installment Program. You will contribute to the development and execution of product and capability strategy, build marketing campaigns to drive engagement using a suite of cutting-edge tools and tactics, and deliver flawlessly by mitigating operational risk and optimizing the control environment. You'll work closely with a diverse group of partners that span local and central teams to deliver products and services that are relevant and engaging to our Cardmembers.

To deliver against this remit, you'll leverage your strong relationship-building skills, take a customer-first approach to everything you do, and demonstrate personal excellence. Your philosophy should be rooted in upholding the best possible products and services for our customers. You'll tackle ambiguous problems and get excited about figuring out how something works and then making it better. Most of all, you'll contribute to a high-performing team so that together, we can make membership matter.

Key Responsibilities:

Turn Analytics into Strategy: Interpret data, identify opportunities, and prioritize effectively

  • Translate external data (regulatory, technology, economic & consumer trends) into opportunities to manage and risks to mitigate.

  • Own product performance management and profitability, leveraging data to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Assess financials and business cases for pipeline of opportunities and advocate for Canadian user needs.

  • Help define product roadmaps, enhancements to customer journeys, and resolve issues.

Acquisition: Drive user engagement and retention

  • Leverage omni-channel customer touchpoints to educate and drive engagement with our products—and iterate on offer constructs.

  • Efficiently deploy marketing funds, balancing tried-and-true marketing treatments with innovative, strategic bets.

  • Lead with a sense of urgency and with persistence to deliver growth.

Collaboration: Build a common vision across stakeholders

  • Influence to gain stakeholder buy-in across cross-functional partner teams.

  • Partner across local and central teams to identify capability enhancements to market.

  • Champion projects from concept through to implementation and post-implementation evaluation.

  • Be a forward-thinking and collaborative thought leader.

  • Effectively communicate and partner across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree, plus a minimum of two (2) years' experience:

  • Driving results against top- and bottom-line KPIs.

  • Delivering omni-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Leading projects end-to-end.

  • Upholding risk and control management standards.

  • Contributing to a culture of belonging.

  • Collaborating effectively in a matrixed environment.
