Position Overview

As a Level 1 QA / Coating Inspector, you support inspection and testing activities across the field and shop, helping ensure surface preparation and coating application align with BC Hydro and international quality standards. Your steady documentation makes the work easy to trust.

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Lead QA Inspector / QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of surface preparation and coating application.
  • Record daily inspection reports, environmental conditions, and batch traceability.
  • Assist senior inspectors with DFT, adhesion, and holiday testing.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, ITPs, and QC procedures.
  • Support NCR tracking and corrective actions

Qualifications

  • NACE/AMPP CIP Level 1 Certification (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in coatings or corrosion control.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to work at field and shop sites.
