Operations Manager – Logistics & Transport

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation and logistics functions. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, support fleet and driver performance, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

This position plays a critical leadership role and requires strong operational insight, strategic decision-making, and effective people management. The ideal candidate brings proven experience leading teams and managing fleet operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, routing, and load planning.
  • Monitor fleet performance, equipment availability, and service levels to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Lead, coach, and support transportation staff, including drivers and dispatch teams.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance (safety, training, audits, documentation).
  • Manage performance metrics, review KPIs, and prepare operational reports for leadership.
  • Address service issues, customer concerns, and incident escalations.
  • Support hiring, training, and development of team members; manage performance and workforce planning.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall productivity.
  • Oversee incident investigations, equipment damage reporting, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure strong communication across departments and promote a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and maintain service quality in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • College education in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
