ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a skilled and versatile UI/UX & Quality Assurance Specialist to join our development team in downtown Toronto. This is a hands-on role that blends creativity and precision - you'll design clean, intuitive user interfaces while also ensuring that our applications are stable, accessible, and high-performing.

You'll work directly with developers to create seamless user experiences, verify design accuracy during implementation, and rigorously test every release to maintain our quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

UI/UX Design

  • Design, prototype, and refine user interfaces for internal and client-facing web applications.
  • Translate requirements into intuitive, responsive layouts and interaction flows.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent design system and component library.
  • Conduct usability testing and implement feedback to improve the user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design precision and performance consistency.

Quality Assurance

  • Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases across all major browsers and devices.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to verify functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs clearly using QA tools.
  • Validate front-end behavior, data accuracy, and design integrity after each deployment.
  • Support the development team in debugging and verifying fixes before release.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–2 years of combined experience in UI/UX design and software quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and component-based UI frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or NG-ZORRO).
  • Experience with QA tools and workflows (JIRA, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a development-driven environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience testing or designing for .NET or Azure-based applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, or automated test integration.
  • Comfort working with data-driven dashboards or interactive reporting interfaces.
