Job Skills / Requirements

Guardteck Security is seeking an experienced full-time Site Supervisor in the Lower Mainland to manage a team of 4–5 staff members. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of security experience, and supervisory or shift supervision experience will be considered an asset. A valid BST and OFA 1 certification are required, while OFA 2, AST, WHMIS, and other security-related certifications are preferred.

Shift Details:

Shifts vary from 9–11 hours per dayNormally a 4-day work week from Monday–Saturday (can fluctuate depending on operational requirements)Shift Timings: 0745–1830 hoursPay Rate: $23.00–$24.50 per hour (depending on experience and certifications)

Requirements:

Valid Security LicenseOFA 1 certification (required)OFA 2 certification is considered an assetAST, WHMIS, and other security-related certifications are considered assets2 years of experience in the security industrySupervisory or shift supervision experience (required)Experience working in a hectic customer service environment (required)Experience working at an educational institute is considered an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours including weekends as required

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Lead and supervise a team of security professionalsEnsure daily operations run smoothly and efficientlyCreate high-quality detailed incident and shift summary reportsMaintain and update site-specific operations proceduresMonitor CCTV and manage access control systemsApply verbal and physical de-escalation techniques as neededExercise sound judgment in handling emergency situationsCoordinate with the Account Manager for escalated issuesMentor and train team members to maintain performance standardsConduct audits and inspections as per client requirementsDeliver excellent customer service while ensuring a safe environment
