Position Overview:
We are seeking an inspirational Sr. Manager, Cloud Security, Compliance and Governance to lead the organization's security posture, compliance programs, and governance frameworks. This role ensures regulatory adherence and risk mitigation across diverse cloud environments, partnering with infrastructure and application teams to embed security by design. The successful candidate will define and enforce security and compliance policies, manage audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting, and oversee IAM, data protection, and threat monitoring capabilities. Robust expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture, Microsoft 365, and the development of processes and procedures for effective cloud management are essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be equipped to immediately contribute to our rapidly growing business by leading technical teams through IT changes, project intakes, and operational requests.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the organization's cloud security posture, compliance programs, and governance frameworks to ensure regulatory adherence and risk mitigation across cloud environments.
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to embed security by design in all cloud and on-premise initiatives.
- Define and enforce security and compliance policies for cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft 365.
- Manage audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting to maintain organizational compliance.
- Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM), data protection, and threat monitoring capabilities.
- Implement technical and non-technical changes to achieve organizational goals for reliability, quality of services, and security.
- Maintain and administer IT infrastructure processes (e.g., add/moves/changes to Active Directory, storage systems, Azure cloud, servers, network, application hosting, backup, server patching, infrastructure security), ensuring security controls are in place.
- Assist senior management with IT vendor reviews and procurement, standardize organizational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and uphold security standards for storage and servers.
- Perform IT infrastructure audit tasks, with an understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CIS, SOC, NIST, and related standards.
- Plan and manage all IT functions, including server/network infrastructure, business system development and support, data management, and general IT support services, emphasizing security and compliance.
- Support governance structure aligning IT initiatives with business priorities, balancing human and fiscal resources to optimize IT investments and maintain compliance.
- Manage requests for proposal/service processes, including determining requirements, sourcing vendors, negotiating terms, and monitoring service/product quality with a focus on security and compliance.
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, and/or compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CIS, SOC, NIST, and similar standards.
- Experience with governance automation and policy enforcement tools.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture, Microsoft 365, and cloud management processes.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams through IT and security initiatives.
- University degree from a recognized institution or equivalent formal education, with relevant IT technical and project management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google), Microsoft 365 (MS Excel, MS Project), Google Workspace, Microsoft DevOps, and networking concepts.
- Demonstrated skill in managing Azure Cloud and controlling costs.
- Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing or delivering IT services within outsourced and managed services environments.
- Proven expertise with cloud-hosted technology and thorough understanding of IT security and networking principles.
- Exposure to request for proposal process and due diligence for acquisitions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: facilitation, collaboration, liaison, and negotiation.
