Our Ideal Candidate
Allnorth's Vancouver Team is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for conceptual design and design delivery according to required timeframes and standards by supervising the performance of mechanical engineers, reviewing deliverables and providing high level technical expertise. You will assist with the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts by providing advice and input as required. You will be responsible for motivating team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
- Minimum 10 years mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, specifically gold and copper.
- Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience.
- Good knowledge of CAD and 3-D software and MS Office
- Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
- Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Well-developed written and oral skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks for the design team and manage time effectively.
