Job Summary:

We're seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals to join our team at K1 Speed Toronto. As a Track Attendant, you will ensure a fun, safe, and efficient racing experience for our customers by preparing the track and karts, providing instructions, supervising races, and maintaining a clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the track and karts for operation.
• Instruct customers on kart usage, race flag usage, and safety procedures.
• Maintain the flow of racers on the track, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Supervise ongoing races, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of customers.
• Keep the track and pit areas clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with facility cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform closing duties to secure the track and prepare for the following day.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to work weekends
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve basic problems.
• Basic math skills for handling simple calculations.

Education and Experience:

• No prior track attendant experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• experience with public speaking considered and asset.
• minimum of one year of customer service is require.

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting. The role involves handling various tasks that may require the use of hands for grasping, handling, or feeling objects, as well as reaching with arms and hands. Employees may need to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl at times. Effective communication, including talking and hearing, is essential for this role.

Vision Requirements:

• Close vision: Ability to see clearly at distances of 20 inches or less.
• Distance vision: Ability to see clearly at distances of 20 feet or more.
• Color vision: Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Peripheral vision: Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or left and right while the eyes are focused on a specific point.
• Depth perception: Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships, essential for navigating the work environment and handling tasks safely.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an indoor environment with moderate noise levels.
• Exposure to outdoor elements through building openings.
