Menya Kouji Group is seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager for the ramen restaurant who can communicate both in English and Japanese. If you are energetic, motivated, and confident in your physical strength, we encourage you to apply

This is a full-time position (40h/week) including weekends and holidays. Work hour is shift based between 8am - 11pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen equipment, tools, and ingredients, ensuring proper hygiene and safety standards
  • Prepare dishes and broth according to the restaurant's recipes
  • Plan menus and manage food costs
  • Hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Supervise daily operations, including food preparation, service, and opening/closing duties
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and suggest improvements for kitchen efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Required Languages: Proficient in English and Japanese
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing approximately 20–30 kg
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Work Experience:

  • Experience as a cook or a Kitchen hand is an asset
  • Experience/ knowledge in Japanese cuisine is an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
