Qualification/Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Experience (Preferred)
  • Great teamwork and excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual and competent
  • Ability to follow proper procedures and instructions
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid Traffic Control Person certificate
  • WHMIS & Worker Health and Safety Awareness in Four Steps
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Valid G Licence (required to drive a pickup Truck)

Note: Applicants living in Ottawa only or within 35-40 km of Ottawa, Ontario

PPE:

- Safety boots

- Hard hat (can be obtained from the employer)

- Reflector vest (can be obtained from employer)

- Safety goggles (can be obtained from the employer)

Responsibilities:

  • Directing motorists, pedestrians, and workers to safe routes around road construction sites.
  • Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
  • Assist in accessing and exiting worksites and directing
  • Assist with the set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades, including daily barricade reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.75-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
