As an Associate Dentist, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive dental care, from routine check-ups to complex treatments, all while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical history review, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions to patients.
- Conduct dental fabrication procedures, including crown and bridge work, ensuring precision and quality.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to maintain a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination.
- Use dental imaging tools and medical imaging technology to diagnose and plan treatments effectively.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical and dental records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and other specialties to provide the most effective care.
- Educate patients on oral health, preventive practices, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness.
- Ensure compliance with all dental office policies, including documentation, medical records management, and confidentiality standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to continually enhance patient care and office operations.
Qualifications
- Valid RCDSO dental license to practice as an Associate Dentist in Ontario.
- Proven experience in general dentistry, with proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and patient care.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical and dental terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in dental technology and techniques.
