About the role

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Lines Adjuster to join our team as aSenior Claims Adjuster .

While the official office location is noted as Edmonton, this position is based in Grande Prairie and offers the flexibility of remote work. In this role, you will assist a diverse range of customers who have experienced losses to their personal or commercial property, equipment, businesses, etc., guiding them empathetically through the claims process. You'll collaborate with vendors, contractors, appraisers, and other experts, utilizing your empathy, strong listening skills, business acumen, and organizational effectiveness to manage a variety of commercial claims to completion.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze gathered information, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damages.
  • Develop an action plan to comprehensively address all aspects of the claim.
  • Manage all financial components, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt, equitable settlements in alignment with Intact's policies and standards.
  • Provide clear, concise information and direction to vendors.
  • Collaborate with experts, including appraisers and engineers, to drive claim progress.
  • Deliver superior quality customer service to both external and internal clients, addressing any queries related to the claims process.
  • Stay current with Intact's insurance products, appraisal, investigation techniques, and services.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years in the Insurance Industry or a related field such as Property Management, Restoration & Building Construction, Property or Equipment Appraisal, Loss Prevention, Corporate Finance, or Legal & Regulatory.
  • A willingness to learn and a desire to build a rewarding career in insurance.
  • Adaptability and agility in a rapidly evolving business environment.
  • A passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
