We're building a firm rooted in transparency, teamwork, and trust, and we're looking for an experienced Engineer of Record to help lead the way. You'll be the technical anchor on projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with contractors, architects, and internal teams to deliver excellent work while creating a culture of support and growth.

In your first year at co-elevate, you will become a trusted technical leader - providing engineering oversight on projects, mentoring team members, and helping to strengthen our internal systems and standards. You'll play a key role in raising the technical bar across the company while building strong relationships with clients and collaborators.

[ what we're looking for ]
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in any Canadian province
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering
  • Experience acting as Engineer of Record on a range of projects
  • Strong knowledge of Building Codes and relevant CSA Standards
  • Proficient with structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RISA3D, etc.)
  • Able to define clear goals, navigate complex challenges, and see projects through to completion
  • A strong communicator who collaborates well with clients, contractors, and teammates
  • A natural mentor who enjoys supporting junior engineers and strengthening the team
  • Excited to work in-office in London, Kitchener, or St. Thomas- with flexibility when needed

  • Experience leading teams or formally mentoring junior staff
  • Experience with construction review or site coordination

  • Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday's challenges and plan for the day's tasks.
  • Provide meaningful oversight and mentorship of less experienced staff by providing engineering guidance and reviewing calculation packages.
  • A daily break for a game of Table Tennis, hitting the Golf Sim (London) or adding to the ongoing puzzle is always welcomed.
  • Attend one of co-elevate's group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc.
  • Participate in one of co-elevate's charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal in-house charity events.
  • Conduct drawing review to ensure conformance to designs and seal drawings as needed.
  • At the end of a long day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send team members home to ensure work-life balance.
